Leather has always been the symbol of quality and luxury. It is a durable material of incomparably higher quality than leatherette, or other fake alternatives.
Nonetheless, it is not indestructible and has its life span. As a natural material, it can change over time, depending on how you treat it. It can loosen up or gain a unique patina, which is characteristic for natural leather and is not a valid reason for complaint.
a) Sateen (smooth) leather - leather with small pores and a lightly structured surface. It has a protective layer and comes to us pre-colored and treated. It can come with a matte or glossy finish. To clean products made of sateen leather, use a suitable brush or damp cloth and wipe to dry. Do not use products designed for cleaning shoes. Please keep in mind that excessive cleaning, as well as neglect, will have a negative impact on the material.
b) Sateen leather without a protective layer - leather that was not treated with the outer layer, which makes it more susceptible to the environment. On the other hand, it retains its natural look and can gain a unique patina over time. Any changes to the color or look of the leather are natural, and will not be accepted as valid reasons for complaints.
c) Varnished (lacquered) leather - leather that has been treated with varnish, which gives it a smooth, glossy finish. This material is very susceptible to mechanical damage, chemicals, dampness and frost. To clean it, use a lightly damp cloth and avoid detersives completely.
d) Nubuck, velour, suede - soft "hairy" leather, gained by splitting from full grain leather. To clean it, use a brush with rubber fibers and products designed for nubuck / velour / suede. We recommend impregnating these types of handbags before use, to help protect them from moisture, which would otherwise seep into it.
Textile products are not resistant to rainy weather. We do not recommend washing them in a washing machine, as it could damage the metal components."
